Bacckkk..

30 Mar

Jz got back to KL last Mon morning! I flew back a day earlier than planned. Well, it was an enjoyable trip trekking in the Himalayan. Saw and experienced many new things.

Trekking in the Himalayan was very different from trekking in green and dense tropical jungle in Malaysia. It’s much easier, except the thin air at high altitude. Food there suck to the max. It’s worst than N.S food at times! Very plain and tasteless. It’s good to be able feast on M’syian food again!

One very interesting thing about Nepal, its capital city Kathmandu, has electricity supply problem! Daily, there will be power cut at certain time to share power load between other cities in Nepal. At night, at Thamel, the tourist district of Kathmandu, its pitch dark on on the streets.

Traffic in Kathmandu is as chaotic as it could be. Horns blare from every vehicle. The infrastructure is another interesting topic. he streets are very narrow. There are no pavements and buildings are build very closely to the roads. I wonder how will the government widen the roads later on. You rarely find buildings taller than 10 stories. Most of them are 4 to 5 stories only.

Kathmandu from above

The international airport of Nepal in Kathmandu is worst than LCCT in KL. It’s so rundown. But, its the only place in Kathmandu that does not experience power cut. hahaha..

Anyway, it felt really good when I landed back in KL. Even when we were flying above KL, I enjoyed looking at the lighted nightscape below. Something locals in Nepal don’t get to enjoy.
